The brew cogs just keep on turning. Back in the Perth CBD, otherwise known as “Brew York City”, the blokes were as eager as ever to slam down a few macs of the long variety. With only mild hangovers and hearts full of yearning, the blokes stopped by at The Wolf Espresso.
Vibes 🍃- Very city-y vibes on this one. What does this mean? Well, The Wolf Espresso is somewhat hidden in the rather beautiful alleyways of the Perth CBD. Having a brew here really feels as though you’re in a much larger city - Melbourne, perhaps. The space itself is warm and cozy, a refuge from the potential chaos of the surrounding world. The blokes loved the decor and friendly service. Süper!
Taste 👅- The Blokes were sipping on the ‘Wolf Cartel’ seasonal blend roasted right here in Perth. It definitely leans into the more traditional coffee bracket with its origin firmly in the Central American/Brazilian regions. Tastes of cacao, caramel malt, and lingering toffee is a safe crowd pleaser, we would’ve loved to see a bit more character and dimension to the brew though.
Temperature 🌡- Was pre delightful if we’re calling a spade a spade
Glass Size 📏 – 6oz was sweet as.
Froth 🥛 – For us, the froth was a bit overkill. Definitely could’ve laid off it a little bit.
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – Sometimes simple is all you need. The blokes respected what wolf produced let’s just say that.
Our inner Duran Duran was channeled today as you could say we were Thirsty like the Wolf. No better spot to satisfy this temptation than to head to the small, quaint cafe on Wolf Lane just off Hay Street. The notorious Perth CBD provides some delectable brews (cheers @basil_zempilas 👍) and this is one of em. Great job The Wolf Espresso. HOWLLLLLLLL!
72.9/100 on the Brew ‘o’ Meter! 🤖🤝
