Glyde has been on the bradar (brew-radar) for a while now. The blokes actually failed their first attempt at reviewing this spot a few months ago because it was simply too busy to get a seat. Not a bad problem to have! As the old saying goes - persistence pays off - and with that, the Blokes made a successful return to Glyde.
Vibes š- A more recent addition to the Mosman Park coffee scene (much needed) and what a space it is. A boutique cafĆ© with friendly staff and an awesome vibe: lots of natural woods and plant-life that feels like a warm hug on a chilly Perth morning. A much younger and trendier demographic that the Blokes helped to support ;)
Taste š - Today we sipped on Osbourne Park roasters āLeftfield Coffeeā and their No Mafia blend. Super velvety with low acidity that really appeals to a traditional coffee audience. Notes of dark chocolate, caramel, and toasted hazelnut; seems to be a common Perth taste profile developingā¦
Temperature š”- Aināt no complaints.
Glass Size š ā 6oz just how we like it
Froth š„ ā The froth wasnāt necessarily āthat guyā, but in saying that, we did like his output. Came up big in crunch time Tbf
General Appearance/Consistency š¤© ā Yeah sure. Was a nice little visual for us. Put us in a real good spot looking foward.
Glyde was everything it needed to be, serving up a tasty brew in a lovely setting. This was probably the textbook definition of a crowd-pleaser: nothing extravagant, risky or mind boggling; but an understated quality and execution that the Blokes could certainly get around. Not to mention, the food looked absolutely epic. Definitely worth a suss!
76.3/100 on the Brew āoā Meter! š¤š¤
