A wintery one this morning for the blokes, marking the beginning of the brew-hand-warmer time of year. Leaving the warmth of their beds, the blokes piled into the brewmobile (alternatively the long mac express) with only one destination in mind: Piccolo’s Corner in West Leederville. Could a brew warm the otherwise cold bodies, hearts and souls of the blokes? Only time would tell…
Vibes 🍃- Piccolo’s Corner gave the blokes rustic plant vibes. With a homey feel, it was almost as if the blokes had been invited over to a kindly neighbours house for a tasty brew. The garden looked absolutely beautiful (even serene) to sit in, however the blokes are delicate flowers and felt a bit too cold - settling comfortably inside with their brews instead
Taste 👅- Much like one of our personal heroes, Flo Rida, we got Piccolo-low-low-low with a blend from Crema Coffee. With strong elements of chocolate, caramel and roasted almonds, our tummies were pleasantly impressed. Reminded us of that time we were in the chocolate, caramel and almond shop a while back. Good, but socks remained on our feet.
Temperature 🌡- Put in a really good shift. Someone’s gotta do it.
Glass Size 📏 – believe it was an 8oz, but don’t quote us on that. Sick cups tho tbf.
Froth 🥛 – Look the froth was definitely present. Maybe slightly too much, but was fairly good nonetheless.
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – For us, the brews looked nice. Don’t think need to read into it any deeper than that.
As renowned artist, Claude Monet once said, “My wish is to stay always like this, living quietly in a corner of nature.” We believe Monet was referring to Piccolo’s in West Leedy as his corner of choice. With delightful decorative plants, the wall-to-wall ivy slinging across the café made us feel like Tarzan ready to save Jane in a botany inspired wonderland. Piccolo’s presents to the average brew consumer as a quaint, friendly and vibey establishment, and that it is. Very impressed with their café. Glasses would’ve been nice but hey, sometimes you just have to roll with the punches.
