With their exams done and dusted, the blokes were filled with a fresh yearning to try some new and delicious brews. With one bloke clad entirely in white linen (wine tour inbound), the blokes swung by Typika Artisan Roasters in Claremont.
Vibes š- Amidst their idle-minded mumbling conversations, the blokes kept coming back to the notion that Typica had the vibe and layout of a micro-brewery. The large open-layout space and high tables set this spot apart from most of the cafes the blokes have visited. The blokes enjoyed the cool lighting and beautiful art on the walls (see photos). Tres bien!
Taste š - Points to Typika for roasting their own ā1305 Blendā with Brazil/Indian origins. Seems to be more on the medium-dark side of the roast which contributed towards a super heavy and lingering body. The ratio wasnāt ideal for the amount of milk in the glass so it certainly seemed washed out, wouldāve like to try in a 6oz.
Temperature š”- In Typikal fashion the brews were at a good little temperature.
Glass Size š ā Boy oh boy these glasses were girthy. 10oz we believe.
Froth š„ ā Look the froth wasnāt great. Nothing personal against excessive froth but wouldāve liked a bit less.
General Appearance/Consistency š¤© ā Could be better. The brews lacked aesthetics.
Another Typikal Sundee found us at another swell review of the riveting and classy Typika in Claremont. A large premises with excellent food and a great atmosphere. Their brew wasnāt outstanding by any means, but the company and laughs we shared at this Stirling Highway Cafe were top tier as per usual. A Sunday with a review is always good fun and Typika was the place we shared them this week. Swing by to have yourself and your mates a grand old time and fill your bellies with great food and some decent coffee.
66.3/100 on the Brew āoā Meter! š¤š¤
