The blokes have a VERY long list of brew recommendations. Indeed, sometimes the dream of tasting each and every brew in Perth seems impossible. Lividskatecafe in Scarborough has been at the top of said list for quite some time, and this week the blokes decided it was time to see what all the fuss was about.
Vibes 🍃- Once again continuing the streak of insanely good vibes, Lividskatecafe is yet another pinnacle of the vibes category. Blurring the line between a skate shop and a cafe, the blokes could appreciate the distinct feel of this spot. It’s pretty rare to get a cafe straying away from the standard modern, sleek, arguably cliche tones of hip and trendy brew spots. Instead, Lividskateshop goes for the industrial, beachy and skate-park-y feel. Respect.
Taste 👅- Slurping another Ozzy Park roaster in ‘Dimmatina’ and their ‘Easy Street’ blend. Origins of predominately Brazilian origins with a hint of Ethiopian to give it some character. Notes of bakers chocolate, dark cocoa and blueberry that wasn’t too overwhelming nor was did it stand out much. Run of the mill in terms of standard Perth café taste… Blokes are yearning for character!
Temperature 🌡- Not the best, not the worst
Glass Size 📏 – No 6oz dine in cups… served with 8oz takeaways instead :(
Froth 🥛 – One of the stronger measures of the coffee. well done
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – Nothing to write home about.
The brew served up this week may not have blown us away, but it did the job as advertised. This fusion skate shop and café creates a really sick vibe, we give that kudos. The skateboards lining the walls are cool enough to bring anyone down to try a brew and judging by the sheer number of people that flock to this Scarborough establishment, it is a very popular spot. Heading into summer, if you are looking to spend a morning at the beach, Livid Skate will be there, overlooking the waves, ready to serve you your well-earned lmac.
69.4/100 on the Brew ‘o’ Meter! 🤖🤝
