Setting out once again on the path of truth, wisdom, virtue and good long macs, the blokes set their sights on Social Manna in Vic Park. Having stopped to take in the sights (particularly John Hughes “Just over the causeway” Victoria Park), the merry band of blokes pulled up to the beautifully decored Social Manna...'
Vibes 🍃- Social Manna certainly excelled more than most on the ‘vibeometer’. With one of, if not the most photogenic cafes in Perth, I wouldn’t recommend bringing your Instagram obsessed girlfriend if you are keen to drink your coffee while it is still warm… Beautiful plant life, decorated furniture and easily the largest collection of boujee spoons you’ll ever see – a Rolex spoon served with your coffee is certain to cause a ‘stir’.
Taste 👅- It was the blokes first taste of ‘Pound Coffee Roastery’ from O’Connor and unlike CY O’, was certainly no delayed satisfaction. Notes of distinct black cherry, dark chocolate, and red apple with a heavy body. The pallet is especially unique – whilst not a balanced taste, it certainly jumps out of the cup. If you like a flavour-full coffee, this is the blend for you.
Temperature 🌡 - The temperature was crafted in a manna that the blokes could only smile at.
Glass Size 📏 – As grey as a stormy sky. Huge tick for the 6oz aspect, but we love the taste (and look) of transparent glasses.
Froth 🥛 – Considering the opaque cups, assessing the froth wasn’t a walk in the park. However, the mouth feel was enough to determine that it was slightly excessive, but overall, not a huge problem.
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 - Consistency wise, Social Manna hit the nail on the head. However, some more advanced latte art would’ve been nice and taken the brew to that top echelon
Alike the walls of Social Manna, there was a spoonful of juicy content for all you long mac lovers out there. Superb décor with delightful vibes and overall feels of the 'happy variety' made this brew even better. Hopefully they can share their teaspoons with the rest of us. Despite a brew in a cup, swing by anyway... a great way to start the morning
