Review #14 - @felix_and_co

The blokes are back on the block and pounding the pavement in their personal and spiritual journey to find Perth's greatest long mac. This spot came with an air of anticipation greater than that of most weeks, with one of our most requested brew dispensaries to date coming under the stern, but fair gaze of the blokes. Felix & Co. were bonkers good...

Vibes 🍃- A seemingly cosy, quaint, and snug café with low hanging lights and high tables yet packed with rich and niche references to history. The name itself, a nod to the birth of coffee houses in Yemen (Arabia Felix) which served as ‘Schools of The Wise’, whereby people would come far and wide to share ideas and learn from other classes. Felix and Co really emulate this - with no single tables, only a shared bar and communal benches which we thought was an excellent reference for the average coffee-history inclined bloke.

Taste 👅- Wicked and rare to see Felix & Co. peddling their own roast and blend of a beautiful, washed Ethiopian and Colombian bean. Opening with dried apricot and light cocoa with tones of malt and undertones of blackcurrant; this drop had a wonderful and balanced mouth-feel from start to finish. Certainly, a fan-favourite for the blokes even coming back for a second dose!

Temperature 🌡 – Comparable to Michael Jordans record in the NBA finals. Perfect.🐐

Glass Size 📏 - 6oz = shot boiii

Froth 🥛 – Divine, angelic and heavenly. Arguably best froth on our Long Macchiato voyage

General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 - The blokes were ecstatic to finally see a resurgence in the Perth latte art scene. Felix and co weren’t shy to produce some wicked tulips to pair with consistent levels of froth all round.

Petite, quaint, elegant. All adjectives that perfectly sum up the Middle-eastern influenced Nedlands hallmark of the classic morning brew, ‘Felix and Co’. To the unforeseen eye, a small café…to an experienced brew’o’logist… the perfect reference to old-style academic discussion rounds in 16th century Turkey. Kudos to the Felix boys and their fantastic long macs. *Que slow clap*
