Review #141 - Luna n Soul

This week the blokes were looking to prove a point, we wanted to let the world know that we aren’t scared of venturing far and wide for a long mac on our quest for brew-fection. We made the journey north to Luna n Soul in 'Quinnsland' (Quinns Rock), a super busy seaside cafe bustling with life, and of course, morning brewskis.

Vibes 🍃

Gandhi taught us that enjoying a long mac with an ocean view might simply be the best thing one could do. Ngl we would have to agree with him here and Luna n Soul did this to an absolute tee. Not to mention the inside of a cafe itself which had an awesome beachy and tropical feel which made the blokes feel right at home.

Taste 👅

Rare to find a roastery that we haven’t tried yet on our endless long mac journey, today however we stumbled upon Joondalup roasters ‘Stay Grounded’. We always harp on about having a distinct flavour profile and today we definitely had it… this Colombian/Mexican blend aptly named ‘Dark Toast’ genuinely tasted like the oh so delicate scrape of crumbs off a dark brown piece of toast with a small hint of baker’s chocolate. Slightly over extracted for us, would’ve liked to take in more of those sweet floral undertones.

Temperature 🌡

Mate honestly the temperature was quite swell.

Glass Size 📏

6oz bet

Froth 🥛

Pre unreal. 5 booms.

General Appearance/Consistency 🤩

Couldn’t been better tbh, the cafe was extremely busy. Even the blokes struggled to get a seat

This episode really felt like a holiday for these wily old blokes. Beautiful coastal views, delicious açai bowls, brews a’plenty, we didn’t want to go home! It’s popular and vibey café that pumps out a good coffee, a little piece of our soul will forever remain with Luna (n Soul).

80.0/100 on the Brew ‘o’ Meter! 🤖🤝
