To discover Perth’s finest caffeinated brew is a journey not for the faint of heart. Our quest for knowledge sent us to the heart of Osborne Park, to the community sacrum, Sondrea Espresso. With a premise larger than standard establishments in the Sand Groper’s state, it weighed heavily in the favour of our chosen destination for review no. 2 🤙 Vibes 🍃 – The vibes of the venue were pretty good especially for a Tuesday morning. The spacing of the café was appreciated and our eyes lit up at the sight of the NFL playing on a TV behind the grinder. Would’ve been nice to have table service but we understand the ease of the front of house system. Taste 👅 – Sondrea Espresso utilises their own blend of Grand Central Coffee Roasters which offers a very unique brew. Opening with heavy body and a fruity touch, this blend lent itself to light orange and apricot undertones which went down an absolute treat. One of our favourite and unique tastes yet.
Temperature 🌡 – Unfortunately, the temperature was lukewarm and wasn’t to the likings of the blokes who all prefer a toasty brew. One of the main things letting this brew down. Glass Size 📏 – Stock standard 6oz glassware was utilised by Sondreo Espresso, which is the correct and only sized glassware suitable to enjoy a long macchiato topped up. Froth 🥛 – Froth levels were a grey area. As seen above, 2 of the brews froth were on the excessive side, however, one of the blokes received an excellent level of froth. General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – The simple yet effective adoption of the tulip on the brews was a treat to the eye. Although, the erratic froth levels were a huge knock on the consistency of the beverages, thus overcasting the decorous latte art. Well well well, there goes the Blokes and Their Long Macs second ever review. Sondrea Espresso is the premier spot for a decent brew in Ozzy Park. If you’re in the area, feel free to swing by for a good time… Sondrea produces a well-rounded, fruity brew. Certainly not too strong for the beginner coffee connoisseur.
