Vibes 🍃- Holy sweet lord of long-mac above. Hemingway has taken our first 10/10 all round on the vibe’o’meter and for good reason. Inspired by American poet Ernest Hemingway, this place really is a ‘love letter to coffee’ – utilising a sleek undercounter Modbar and beautiful long bar set-up, it is every baristas dream. Don’t get us started on this out of this world design, slick minimalistic look that made our jaws drop. Deservedly ‘Erning’ our highest accolade.
Taste 👅- Proudly fronting some of Australia’s best speciality coffee’s roasters - ‘Five Senses’, we knew we were in for a treat. Peddling a unique balanced blend composition (in their own ‘Heming-way’) from Brazil, Tanzania and Ethiopia offered subtle notes of praline, chocolate, and orange. Despite the incredibly cool glass design we really wish we could’ve tried this in a 6oz. Seemed to be slightly off of a perfect ratio for us and we would’ve loved to really taste those origins.
Temperature 🌡 –The temperature of the long macchiato was … really quite nice actually.
Glass Size 📏 - Another CBD brew, another 8oz, must be something in the water around this part of town.
Froth 🥛 – Exemplary and Ernest froth levels Hemingway provided - Awesome silky texture.
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 - Nearly as well-crafted as ‘The old man and the Sea’ - Blokes were feigning for a Rosetta based tulip, and 4 of them? Exquisite.
It was Ernest Hemingway who wrote “there is no friend as loyal as a good book”. We blokes disagree… we believe there is no friend as loyal as a good brew. Hemingway Cafe on the Terrace was one of the best experiences we’ve had. We don’t mean this lightly when we say you won’t regret it.
