Happy Father’s Day all. We re-join our heroic blokes in the chic and savvy streets of Subiaco. Staving off the brunch hordes, the blokes were in fine spirits despite nursing Flagmantle-related headaches. Nothing a fine brew can’t fix. The Blokes dedicate this post to the reliable father-figure that is the long mac topped up. Architects and Heroes was pretty darn cool…
Vibes 🍃- A small space on Subi’s Rockeby Road featuring a wicked wall mural of famous faces like Galileo – the man credited for the invention of the telescope but really stole the design off someone else… it is Architects and Heroes mission to finally set history straight! An awesome chic look, with low hanging lights and a long bar certainly impressed the blokes. Very friendly staff and a buzz around the cafe with your fair share of gloating dad’s – it was clear that fathers were the real heroes today.
Taste 👅 – Our brew this morning architected from Melbourne coffee roasters – ‘Code Black’ and designed exquisitely. Derived from a washed varietal in Ethiopia and Colombia, this brew was certainly fruit-driven with notes of stone-fruit, honey and milk chocolate. Potentially running at a higher brew ratio would mellow those strong notes, but the blokes don’t mind a bit of character in a brew – More hips-thor the better.
Temperature 🌡 – Made for a very pleasant mouth feel. Very respectable… Loki perfect.
Glass Size 📏 – 6oz = W – justice delivered.
Froth 🥛 – Froth levels fit for Superman himself. A heroic effort👏.
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 - We could tell it was crafted with an architectural eye. If the finer details improved, it would’ve brought the house down.
Good things certainly do come in small packages (177.441 ml packages to be precise). A & H throw down a very pleasing brew and just give off great vibes in general. We absolutely recommend making a brew stop here. Blokes out.
We are loving the support and the recommendations... keep 'em coming
