Today the blokes stopped by at Elixir. In an ever-changing world of ups and downs and in-betweens, one might observe that perhaps there ARE no constants to be enjoyed in the existential chaos that is life. The blokes would disagree with this perspective. In our view, there is but one certainty: the joy of a good brew, preferably in good company. The real question: where is the BEST of these brews? As always, the blokes are hoping to find out…
Vibes 🍃- Speciality coffee joints will always have a special place in the blokes hearts and Elixir in Nedlands certainly didn’t disappoint. Minimalistic, hip décor with quite a large space made for an enjoyable stay. We were treated to a colouring book, shoutout to Charlie’s giraffe efforts (see photo) which made waiting for our lmacs fly by. Would’ve maybe liked to see a bit more speciality coffee, less ‘restauranty’ vibes but overall happy blokes
Taste 👅- Shoutout to Elixir alchemists/baristas Phil and Steve doing wonders behind the machine. Running a custom Brazilian blend from Loaded Coffee Roasters that was sweet, creamy, a fair amount of caramel goodness and finishing with berry/apple tones. We love trying well balanced and unique blends and Elixir well and truly hit the nail on the head today. Ideal taste profile ratio for a 6oz… A MUST try for sure!
Temperature 🌡 – Yeah, we liked the temperature but not as much as we like Marnus Labuschagnes form. Kid can’t get out
Glass Size 📏 – sui (Ronaldos way of saying yes, the glasses were good)
Froth 🥛 – if Jesus frothed his milk, I would imagine it would look like these long macs
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – like the blokes form at the OBH each Sunday, consistently making an appearance and always performing at a high level
