Today's adventure begins deep in the concrete jungle of Osborne Park, our band of merry blokes
continuing on their quest to find Perth's best brew. Would they succeed? Would they fail? Only time
will tell. Micrology Coffee Roasters has been highly recommended to us and we were thrilled to pay them a visit.
Vibes š ā To describe the vibes in one word ā immaculateā¦ a 10m long coffee bar boasting sleek La Marzocco and Synesso machines, Modbar pour-over and views into the roastery itself. Hard to get speciality cafĆ© vibes in Perth much better than this.
Taste š ā Micrology Coffee Roasters, being an independent roaster, uses their own blend that you can see being roasted right in front of you. The custom in-house blend opens neatly with butterscotch, muddled with milky chocolate and finishing with a soft berry. Appealing to a wide audience, it seemed to be reminiscent of many other blends in Perth, whilst not unique, itās hard to complain ā it tastes great.
Temperature š” ā To describe the temperature in a short remark, the brew was toasty, perspiring and one which stirred the tastebuds of the mouth in an excellent fashion.
Glass Size š Nothing to complain about. 60z š
Froth š„ - If the froth levels could be described as a colour, it screams grey. To note, one of the brews had an appalling excess of froth, while another had perfect levels. This was a mammoth inconsistency which held micrology back.
General Appearance/Consistency š¤© - Micrology pulled out 2/3 sweet tulips which were well textured and elegant in nature. To completely honest, the 3rd tulip was a failure, bruising this category. Froth levels again scarred the consistency as they heavily conflicted one another, but in saying that we may just have caught them at a bad time.
Impeccable vibes, outstanding fixtures and fittings with design to be reckoned with, Micrology was truly a great place to soak up the atmosphere. Better yet, the coffee is good too! We caught them at a busy time, but were truly impressed by the experience. Do yourself a favour and swing by Micrology!
