SoHo-lutations followers to yet another fun filled, action packed, electrifyingly riveting breview. Weirdly, we didn’t travel to the SoHo fashion district in NYC, rather to a nice little brot (brew spot) in the ever-fashionable Mt Lawley. No need to fasten your seatbelts, because it’s gonna be a smooth ride in this (SoHo) Lane. To quote Kevin James… “START YOUR ENGINES”
Vibes 🍃- Right up there on the infamous ‘Vibe’o’meter’ – bright and buzzing café with a vibrant interior, light wood finishes, high ceilings, awesome colour scheme and plenty of natural light. Just about every table was full with a line well out the door (for good reason). The food looked delicious, and the vibes were impeccable… is this the perfect brunch spot? 🤓
Taste 👅 – Soho runs a custom house blend courtesy of our old friends (long time between drinks) Micrology Coffee Roasters in Ozzy Park. Composed of equal part Brazilian and Colombian origins, this brew was So(ho) good with heavy grapefruit balanced perfectly with cocoa, praline and a buttery finish. Admittedly, trying it in a 6oz ratio would’ve been close to ‘brewfection’ but more about that later…
Temperature 🌡 – The temperature was really good. Not much more to say is there really.
Glass Size 📏 – 12oz cups, letting down their score, didn’t play it’s role.
Froth 🥛 – From all accounts good. Bit bubbly on the surface but overall happy.
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – God bless our country, God bless the ANZACS and God bless this latte art!
Soho is derived from a rallying call James Scott used for his men at the Battle of Sedgemoor in the 17th Century. This is extremely relatable to us blokes, as we go into battle each week to find the Blong Mac (Best Long Mac) that Perth has to offer. Soho Lane was this week’s battlefield and boy oh boy was it luscious. If we were to describe to you the brew and whole experience Soho had to offer, comparisons would be drawn to a good old back scratch. Soho sure did scratch our back today and was an experience to yell from the top of the Himalayans. So(ho) long, kings and queens!
