Ciao đ brellows (brew-fellows). The blokes continue their journey in the pine-cladded streets of Cottesloe. In his poem, âI wandered lonely as a cloudâ, William Wordsworth notes that sometimes, in pensive mood, he likes to think of a field of daffodils he once observed. If you swap the daffodils for long macs and William Wordsworth for the blokes, this poem just about sums up our trip to Cimbalino CafĂ©.
Vibes đ- One of the OG cafes to be lining the ever popular âNapolean Streetâ in Cottesloe. This shoebox shaped cafĂ© is usually chock-a-block with its many loyal and devoted local customers, in early for a brew and a turn of the daily news. Cimbalino comes from the Italian description of the âperfect coffeeâ from the late 1930âs and we felt a little bit of that history in our short stay there. Nothing crazy, but vibes we certainly couldnât complain about đ
Taste đ - We tasted some of our old friends, Bibra Lake roasters âGrand Central Coffeeâ running in the milk blend. Couldnât quite figure out what blend we were treated to but tasted of those traditional Central American chocolatey, toffee and caramel tones you might attribute to a âmature brewâ. Enjoyable, yet nothing that really stood out amongst the pack.
Temperature đĄ - The temperature was a good temperature.
Glass Size đ â It is no secret that 8oz glasses live in the shadow of their, more well-rounded brother the 6oz. Maybe Cimbalino should make the upgrade?
Froth đ„ â More like a âlong-cap topped upâ. To be fair, who doesnât love a cheeky cap from time to time.
General Appearance/Consistency đ€© â Oooh yeah. On a chilly morning, the brews looked an absolute delight. Consistently frothy all round we might add.
âKimâbalino?ââSimâbalino?âChimâbalino? We donât really know how to pronounce this place so please let us know in the comments! Was highly recommended to us to sit and enjoy their variety of a Lac, the local hotspot was up the hype. For not a specialty coffee destination, they did their job and did it well. Pat on the back for these legends!
