Welcome back to long macs and their blokes. Just a few long macs reviewing Perth in search of the finest bloke around. Just kidding, you’ve been branked (brew-pranked). Today the blokes hit up a new and idyllic spot: Wards Central Dining.
Vibes 🍃- Not too many places as talked about at the moment than WCD, ran by the ever-popular North Street Store crew. It is clear they have brough their wisdom into re-fitting this incredibly spacious 1938 heritage listed hospital wing. Fantastic to see some of the old features and signage still around with the addition of a beautifully fitted interior and outdoor area to suit ‘antibody’ (unlike their delicious brekkie menu, bad medical puns are hard to stomach).
Taste 👅- First time trying Bibra Lake’s ‘Karvan Coffee’ and their joint ‘Hot Bread’ blend. This bean reigns from Rwanda and El Salvador. A clean, light rounded body with cocoa, caramel, and an almond butter finish. A blend the blokes certainly enjoyed, whilst not standing out too much from the pack, it appeals to a large audience with a splash of character we appreciated.
Temperature 🌡- Wasn’t as hot as Greece this summer and could’ve used a bit more of a kick.
Glass Size 📏 – 6oz was pleasing to see.
Froth 🥛 – I spy with my little eye a good level of froth.
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – Consistency decent all around. Tulips are cool little designs. We enjoyed it thoroughly.
Wards Central dining. Bravo. Great type of spot to take a charming love interest that could turn from a spark to a true romance. A great land, excellent premises, amazzzzing food and of course, darling brews. Does very well for a busy brunch spot. Take your mum, your mate, your crush or your dog to WCD, you’ll be in the good books!
