Firing themselves up for the AFL grand final, the blokes were on the hunt for their own holy brail (brew-grail) in Leederville. As the Wu-Tang clan note: BREAM (Brews Rule Everything Around Me). This week, the blokes hit up Babylon Café.
Vibes 🍃- Babylon, translating to the ‘gate of the gods’, took us on a journey through a true garden oasis. Once we finally found the establishment, we were blown away with the effort in detailing every part of this sanctuary; from fresh frangipanis and rusty repositories, to blossoming blooms and a colourful courtyard. Blokes were big fans of these ‘chives’… special shoutout to ducky in the pond if you can spot him!
Taste 👅- The blokes tried a dark roasted blend from the artisanal coffee roasters, Fiori. This blend was super bold and dark and was reminiscent of coffees from our world tour to Europe. We hit notes of dark cocoa and more notes of dark cocoa… perhaps it is our youthful light-roast tendencies but this blend was definitely the ‘thorn to our rose’.
Temperature 🌡- Was nearly as cute at Kevin James, just not as cute as Nick Daicos😉.
Glass Size 📏 – The size was really cool✊
Froth 🥛 - Look it was alright. Made for a good time however.
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – Average appearance coupled with average consistency. Makes for a not so madness and badness combination.
‘Twas the day of the Grandy, with the Lions roaring and the Magpies soaring, a heated battle was to be. 8 billion people may have been disappointed with the result, but one things for sure, that us blokes didn’t mind starting our celebration with a brew. Albeit, Babylon didn’t whip out an amazing brew, but like the Lions, you can’t fault their effort. To their credit they did have a great green garden-y decor. Onwards and upwards!
67.7 on the Brew ‘o’ Meter! 🤖🤝
