Dear brollowers (brew-followers), this review really bamboozled us! Back again with a Funday review, Satchmo Cafe in North Perth is a popular spot with some of the best food and atmosphere we’ve encountered. So much so we think @followthefishtv fishtv wrote his banger about Satchmo. Over to you to read more…
Vibes 🍃- Get your jazz hands ready to give a perfect 10 because this place was off the scale. A New Orleans inspired cuisine and décor that’ll make you feel like you are on the streets of Louisiana. You couldn’t be called ‘Satchmo’ without a live jazz band playing every Sunday and serving one of the best Philly Cheese Steaks going around. 10/10 jazz hands from the Blokes 🎶🎷
Taste 👅- The Blokes were excited to see Twin Peaks flowing through the grinder but found it was ‘off-tempo’ this morning. For a Brazilian/El Salvadorian blend we have enjoyed countless times before, we think today’s coffees were off in their ratio or simply too course to bring out any flavours… In jazz terms, every note counts and today was a bit flat.
Temperature 🌡- Stock standard. Good temp.
Glass Size 📏 – Love to see it
Froth 🥛 – Was one of the biggest strength of the beverage. Not often you get near perfect froth all round
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – Wasn’t the greatest looking brews we’ve seen, but the Philly cheese steak made us weak at the knees
Live Jazz. NY deli style menu. Food to die for. Jean-Claude Van DAMN we’d tell anyone to check out Satchmo. Speaking from experience their Philly Cheesesteak was heavenly bliss and their live jazz just knocked our socks off. Outstanding venue complemented by awesome food and service. We had a rather poor brew, but we left satisfied by the collective experience. Will 101% be returning!
