Bizarrely, it has been quite some time since the blokes’ last visit to Vic Park - particularly given that we freaking love the place. Diverse food, quirky shops, not to mention some elite brews, it really is a blagnet (bloke-magnet). Today, the blokes were thrilled to visit Sixteen Ounces!
Vibes 🍃- Pretty exciting to see some John Hughes action “just over the causeway”, but the real highlight of this brot (brew-spot) is the joy of pulling up a chair on the beautiful Vic Park main strip. The interior of Sixteen Ounces is just as lovely, plenty of plants, art, and very cool tiling in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Heck, just look at the photos!
Taste 👅- A long time between sips of Toby’s Estate Coffee Roasters and boy did we miss them. This blend is one of our favourites we have encountered on our brew journey and was brewed to absolute perfection. A perfect balance of dried fruit and butterscotch with a punch of character that blends so perfectly. Future cafés… take notes!
Temperature 🌡- Stuck the landing extremely well. Real good
Glass Size 📏 – Despite the scary name, we got the 6oz we came for🤙
Froth 🥛 – Nothing to complain about whatsoever. Very swell
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 –16 Ounces clearly had a huge preseason with these Rosetta’s. Sometimes it all just comes together when it matters most👊.
Battle of Vic Park is well and truly on like Donkey Kong. A much-anticipated duel between Sixteen Ounces and its arch nemesis Social Manna, gave us great enjoyment. Next door neighbours fighting is never pleasant, whilst Social Manna have the vibes, 16 certainly won the taste duel. A fantabulous Vic Park hang.
