We could truly feel the electricity flowing through this popular Leederville rendezvous, Electric Lane. Accompanied with trendy wine bars (looking at you @powells.leederville ) and absolutely dope Middle Eastern Cuisine (yep, @yalla.bala ) a great addition to form the Holy Trinity of Electric Lane is our chosen spot today, Abacus Espresso. It was certainly a wild ride that tickled our fancy, a great bression (brew-session) worth a visit.
Vibes 🍃- This small neighbourhood café is hidden neatly down ‘Electric Lane’ in the ever-growing suburb of Leederville. As soon as we saw the name, we knew this was a café we could count on… We loved the décor: glass panelling allows plenty of natural light to flow in, complimenting a neutral colour tone and beautiful wood features. Staff were very cool, and if that doesn’t sell it for you, they serve coffees with a smartie and a smile 😊
Taste 👅- The Blokes ‘doubled down’ on DoubleDouble Coffee Roasters with their popular ‘Peacekeeper’ blend hailing from the coffee heavyweights of Brazil and Colombia. Didn’t need a calculator to know this brew was extracted to perfection. Notes of milky chocolate + sticky honey + cherry = licking your lips.
Temperature 🌡- As good as Pat Mahomes in OT of the Superbowl. Kid was clutch.
Glass Size 📏 – Didn’t miss whatsoever. Real winner.
Froth 🥛 – We treated the froth well; the froth treated us well. Both parties benefitted.
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 –If the latte art was just that next level this brew could have been a podium finish on the brew’o’rankings. In saying that, more than good enough
Fantastic coffee? Check. Great aesthetic? Check. Friendly and cool baristas with hats we wanted to buy but are actually homemade? Check ☹. We thoroughly enjoyed their Long Mac today and our rating undoubtedly reflects it. We will be telling our mates about Abacus simply due to it being dope, awesome, cool, tasty, gnarly, epic, and even amazing. A specialty coffee café that does everything right. Congrats you kings and queens, we’ll be returning soon. Au revoir et bravo!
