Some say Elton John wrote his hit song “Rocket Man” after an inspiring brew from this little Stirling Highway gem. Can’t get any parking? No stress, Rocketfuel Coffee Roasters has a cheeky drive thru option for those on the go. With a simply epic feature wall and some very groovy cups, Rocketfuel is a local hotspot for UWA college students staying nearby for a post beer pong/toga party pick-me-up.
Vibes 🍃- Immaculate vibes at Rocketfuel. A cool interior, good parking (surprising on a busy road), friendly staff - and all in close proximity to UWA if you’re the studying sort. We love the drive-through coffee idea, especially for blokes in a brush (brew-rush) needing to supercharge their day. All in all, a lovely spot to sit, ponder, enjoy Shakespeare, argue philosophy and the like. Süperb!
Taste 👅- Using their own signature “Dark Matter” blend, this Brazilian/Colombian/Ethiopian combo didn’t quite allow the blokes on duty today to pick up on the chocolatey, hazelnutty, blueberry-y taste intended. A tad bitter for our liking but the thought of a LM tasting like Nutella with blueberries on top does light a fire in our belly. Will have to be back to see if they can serve up the goods!
Temperature 🌡- Rocketfuel ran a good lil temperature program. Was a real highlight for the brew. Sublime!
Glass Size 📏 – Provided the good stuff (6oz). Safe🤝
Froth 🥛 –From all reports Rocketfuel produced some solid froth. Kane Cornes even had positive words on SEN.
General Appearance/Consistency 🤩 – Look considering that their forte is drive through coffee we weren’t expecting much. Tbf wasn’t great at all.
Once taking the final sip of our brew, we looked at each other and in unison said, “One small brew for man, one decent brew for mankind”. Their Long Mac wasn’t amazing. A lack of aesthetic appeal and a rather bitter and flavourless taste didn’t set our tastebuds on fire. Nonetheless it’s always fun catching up with mates for a coffee, so go ahead and send a message to a friend and ask to catch up for a brew. You never know, they might really need it. Ta for now.
